Upon arrival to The Westin Jekyll Island, the host hotel of the wedding weekend, guests were greeted with Welcome Boxes tied with ivory satin ribbon and boasted the couple’s bespoke monogram in gold. The box contained an itinerary of the weekend’s events and things to do while on Jekyll Island and assortment of treats selected by Lyndsey and Michael for their guests.
Lyndsey and Michael's guests were transported to the historic Faith Chapel by trolley where they were greeted by Mr. Tim Aikin, bagpiper for the wedding ceremony. Upon entering the chapel guests were given a beautiful program made of French cotton containing the order of service and bridal party. A musical prelude was provided by piano and trumpet. Both the interior and exterior of the chapel was filled with florals in white and ivory tones with natural greenery accents. Hydrangea, David Austin roses, ornamental lilies, stock, lisianthus, white delphinium and an assortment of trailing greens were selected. The hour was chimed in on handbells and a selection of hymns and classical arrangements were selected to bring in the bridal party. A scripture reading of 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 was also given during the ceremony by a friend of the couple.
After the Ceremony guests were instructed to follow the bagpiper to the Reception held at Villa Marianna, a historic mansion on Jekyll Island. The reception was held in a clear top tent and boasted crystal chandeliers suspended from greenery garlands. The tent was filled with a stunning display of ivory and white tones with touches of natural greenery and gold accents. A mixture of towering and low and lush arrangements consisting of hydrangea, David Austin roses, majolica spray roses, lisianthus, bay leaves, nagi, huckleberry, lemon leaf, ruscus and variegated pittisporum were placed on each table surrounded by candlelight. Food stations were open as guests arrived and featured a delicious menu selected by Lyndsey and Michael.
Gold and white table numbers make a beautiful accent to formal dining. We love this selection of elegant table numbers.
Guests enjoyed music provided by the Extreme Party Band which played a variety of musical sections from various eras and genres.
