On a stormy Wednesday in May…..(not a bad beginning to a never-ending love story!) The clouds loomed and the rain showers came and went, but nothing could dampen the anticipation and excitement of Dawn and Jimmy’s wedding.
From the very first telephone conversation we had with Dawn, we knew this wedding was going to be special. She and Jimmy were dreaming of a very family-oriented wedding that would be a true celebration of the joining of two families. We were so honored to be their photographers and capture all of the beautiful details as well as the emotion that made this day so perfect!

Faith Chapel was a perfect back up plan for Dawn and Jimmy’s ceremony.  They originally planned to hold the ceremony under the oaks on the riverfront lawn, but with the threat of rain, they decided to move it indoors.

I’ve probably mentioned before that Jekyll Island Club Hotel is one of my absolute favorite places on earth! Stepping onto the grounds of this resort is like taking a step back in time. The grounds are covered with the biggest oak trees you will ever see. Their century old limbs reach far and wide and are covered with dripping moss. From the porches of the antebellum estate, you can sit on wooden rocking chairs and watch boats sail along the river.
